  • Other Details: We are seeking a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with an unrestricted California medical license, DEA, BLS or ACLS certification, EPIC EMR experience, and at least 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience to provide onsite weekend coverage for adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric overflow including trauma cases. The radiologist will work two 10-hour weekend shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., reading all imaging that comes in during the shift, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and plain films, with a preference for body imaging and the ability to read prostate studies. Providers must be able to manage high-volume shifts, averaging 130–140 studies per weekday and 150–180 on weekends, and be able to commit to a minimum of two weekends per month. Responsibilities include interpreting emergency department studies, maintaining timely documentation in EPIC, collaborating with hospital support staff, and ensuring no backlog is left for subsequent radiologists. The role requires working independently onsite, covering all studies during the shift, and maintaining a clean background with no malpractice claims.

Job Responsibilities

* Read and interpret MRI, CT, ultrasound, and plain film studies for adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric trauma cases
* Cover emergency department imaging and manage all studies that come in during the weekend shifts
* Ensure timely documentation and accurate reporting in EPIC EMR
* Collaborate with hospital support staff regarding urgent imaging needs
* Maintain workflow so that no studies are left for subsequent radiologists
* Provide high-volume coverage, averaging 130–180 studies per shift

Qualifications

* Board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology
* Unrestricted California medical license
* DEA registration
* BLS or ACLS certification
* Minimum 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience
* Clean background with no malpractice claims
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Body imaging experience preferred; ability to read prostate studies is highly desirable

Working Hours

* Weekend shifts only: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (10-hour onsite shifts)
* Must be able to commit to a minimum of two weekends per month
* Schedule is onsite, high-volume, and independent coverage
