A healthcare system in South Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Radiologist for a remote overnight locum opportunity. This role focuses heavily on ER, STAT, and high-priority inpatient imaging studies.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a high-volume environment and experienced in emergency radiology interpretation across multiple modalities.
Job Responsibilities
• Interpret primarily ER, STAT, and inpatient high-priority studies
• Review 90–100 studies per 8-hour shift (approximately 70 wRVUs)
• Read across modalities including X-ray (XR), CT, MRI, and Ultrasound (US)
• Manage case mix consisting primarily of ER (90%) with additional MSK (5%) and Neuro (5%)
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting for emergent and urgent cases
• Maintain documentation and compliance standards
Qualifications
• Active South Carolina medical license (Required)
• Active DEA registration (Required)
• Most recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) required at presentation
• Comfortable with high-volume ER imaging
• Must be available Monday through Friday
Working Hours
• 8-hour shifts
• Monday–Friday coverage required
• Remote (teleradiology) setting
Skills
• Ability to manage high-volume workflow efficiently
• Proficiency in XR, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound
• Experience with STAT and inpatient priority reads
• Excellent turnaround time and attention to detail
• Strong communication and reporting skills
