π Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist for a high-volume, onsite weekend assignment in Long Beach, CA. This is an inpatient hospital-based role with strong emergency department exposure.
This position is ideal for a radiologist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable reading a broad range of studies independently.

Weekend Coverage (Onsite)

Saturday & Sunday

8:00 AM β 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts)

Minimum of 2 weekends per month required
There is another radiologist onsite from 8:00 AM β 1:00 PM. However, the primary expectation is that you:

Read everything that comes in during your shift
-
Leave no pending work for the next radiologist
-
Be comfortable managing high weekend volumes
Shorter shifts may occasionally be available, but the greatest need is full 10-hour weekend coverage.

π¨ Emergency Department Expectations
Providers must be comfortable reading everything that comes through the ER, including:

Adult emergency imaging

Pediatric trauma
-
MRI and CT studies
While pediatric radiologists are part of the broader team, they are not routinely onsite during weekend shifts. Therefore, weekend radiologists must be comfortable with some pediatric trauma overflow.
