Locums | Diagnostic Radiology | Hospital-Based | Hartford, CT Why This Role

  • High-volume diagnostic radiology service
  • 24/7 reader coverage with flexible shift options
  • Hybrid onsite and remote work environment
Assignment Details Start Date: March 21, 2026 Duration: 3–6 months with potential extension Schedule: 24/7 reader coverage with morning, afternoon, night, and overnight shifts Coverage Model: Two diagnostic readers per shift, no formal call Practice Setting: Hospital-based with some remote work preferred Reason for Coverage: Group model transitioning to employed structure Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days Clinical Details Scope: Diagnostic radiology with ability to read CT, MRI, ultrasound, and general studies Average Volume: TBD; very busy department EMR / Systems: Epic, PowerScribe, PACS Trauma Level: Level I Support Staff: Full complement Patient Population: Neonates, adolescents, adults, geriatrics; minimal pediatric volume Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR) Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure DEA registration or ability to obtain BLS required; ACLS optional depending on subspecialty Proficiency with PACS, PowerScribe, and modern radiology IT platforms Experience in high-volume integrated health systems Comfort with hybrid onsite and remote workflows Self-Query NPDB required at time of presentation Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
