An exciting onsite locum tenens Diagnostic Radiologist opportunity is available in Wooster, Ohio, offering a high-volume hospital-based radiology practice with exposure to a diverse case mix. This position is ideal for a Board-Certified Radiologist seeking a weekday-only schedule, no call, and no weekend responsibilities while working with advanced imaging modalities in a collaborative clinical environment.
The role involves interpreting a broad range of diagnostic studies and performing light interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, drainages, and fluoroscopic exams. Radiologists with experience across ER imaging, neuro imaging, pediatric studies, and diagnostic mammography procedures will thrive in this setting.
Job Responsibilities
• Interpret imaging studies across X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Fluoroscopy
• Read emergency department and inpatient imaging studies
• Perform fluoroscopic exams and diagnostic procedures
• Conduct light interventional radiology procedures
• Perform image-guided biopsies (thyroid, lung, liver, bone, renal; CT- and US-guided)
• Carry out drainage procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, chest tubes, and cyst drainage
• Perform lumbar punctures, myelograms, epidural procedures, and joint arthrograms
• Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
• Ensure timely reporting and adherence to quality and safety standards
Qualifications
• Active Ohio medical license
• DEA registration required
• Proven experience in general diagnostic and fluoroscopic imaging
• Proficiency in light interventional radiology procedures
• Ability to manage high daily imaging volumes efficiently
• Current NPDB Self-Query report within required timeframe
Working Hours
• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No call responsibilities
• No weekend coverage
