Job description Locums Opportunity – Hybrid Diagnostic Radiologist

Location: Hartford, Connecticut Practice Setting: Hospital-based with some remote coverage (hybrid preferred)

Availability & Coverage
  • Start Date: March 21, 2026 (12:00 AM)

  • Assignment Length: 3–6 months, with option to extend

  • Reason for Coverage: Group transitioning to employed model

  • Providers Needed: 7 Diagnostic Radiologists

  • Coverage Model: 24/7 reader coverage

Schedule & Coverage Model
  • Shifts: Morning, Afternoon, Night, Overnight

  • Coverage Type: No traditional call

  • Staffing: Two providers per shift

  • Clinical Scope: Must be able to read and diagnose CT, US, and MRI around the clock

  • Workflow: Hospital-based with remote/hybrid capability preferred

Practice Details
  • Trauma Level: Level I

  • Department Volume: Very busy; cases per day TBD by subspecialty

  • Patient Population: Neonates, adolescents, adults, geriatrics (Rare to no pediatrics)

  • Support Staff: Full complement

  • EMR / Systems: EPIC, PowerScribe, PACS

Required Licenses & Certifications
  • Connecticut Medical License (active or eligible) – Required

  • DEA Registration & State Controlled Substance Certificate (or eligibility to obtain) – Required

  • BLS Certification – Required

  • ACLS – Optional (depending on subspecialty)

Board Certification & Training
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR) – Required

  • Radiology Subspecialty Fellowship (Neuroimaging, Cardiac Imaging, etc.) – Highly Preferred

Clinical Skills & Experience
  • Proficiency with PACS, PowerScribe, and current radiology IT platforms

  • Experience with US- and stereotactic-guided biopsies, aspirations, and localizations

  • Experience in high-volume clinical environments within integrated health systems

  • Prior experience with hybrid onsite/remote workflow models

  • Demonstrated collaboration with referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
