Job Opportunity: Diagnostic Radiologist - Locum Tenens

The opportunity includes a hybrid schedule of on-site and remote readings, providing flexible work-life balance. With a diverse patient demographic, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, you will be well-prepared to provide high-quality care across various cases.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including CT, US, and MRI.
  • Participate in 24/7 readings with no real call coverage.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Utilize the EMR system (EPIC/PowerScribe/PACS) for documentation and reporting.
  • Adapt to a high-volume clinical environment efficiently.
  • Engage in routine maintenance of credentialing as per medical staff bylaws.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR) - REQUIRED
  • Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty - HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Proficiency with diagnostic imaging technology and IT platforms.
  • Experience in a high-volume clinical environment.
  • Effective collaboration skills with referring clinicians and other teams.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
  • Self-Query NPDB must be pulled within the month at the time of presentation - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Valid medical license in Connecticut - REQUIRED
  • DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification or eligibility - REQUIRED
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS optional depending on subspecialty - REQUIRED
