Exciting Opportunity: Locum - Physician - Radiology - Diagnostic Charleston, WV

Join our team as a Locum Diagnostic Radiologist and play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging interpretation services. This position offers an excellent chance to work remotely, utilizing your expertise to support healthcare providers and patients in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret a daily volume of 90-100 cases across modalities including XR, CT, MR, US, and NM
  • Cover primarily ER cases (approximately 70%) and Nue Med cases (approximately 20%)
  • Read and analyze PET studies with proficiency
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness in reporting to contribute to patient care excellence
  • Collaborate with a dedicated remote team to ensure operational efficiency

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in diagnostic radiology with at least proficiency in reading PET studies
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting
  • Strong diagnostic skills across multiple imaging modalities
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clinical teams
  • Proficiency with radiology reporting systems and adherence to confidentiality standards

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Subspecialty expertise in areas such as neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, or abdominal imaging
  • Experience with high-volume case loads in a remote environment
  • Knowledge of radiology billing practices and documentation standards

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Current and unrestricted medical license in West Virginia or eligible for licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in diagnostic radiology

Other Requirements:
  • Must be comfortable with reading PET studies
  • Availability to work days (8 am - 5 pm)
  • Compensation at $19.50 per hour
  • Must be licensed, certified, or eligible for licensure in West Virginia
  • Willingness to fulfill travel or certification reimbursements if applicable
