Job description
We are seeking an experienced Locums Diagnostic Radiology Physician to provide full-time coverage at a hospital-based setting in Charleston, WV. The ideal candidate will be proficient across a broad range of diagnostic modalities and capable of performing light interventional procedures. This position offers a stable weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
Position Details:
- Setting: Onsite – Hospital-based
- Daily Volume: 90–100 cases per 8-hour shift
- wRVUs: Approximately 70 per shift
- Modalities: X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy
- Sub-specialty Case Mix (Fluoro): ~5 per shift
Light Interventional Procedures Include:
- Biopsies: Thyroid, lung, bone, liver, renal (CT and ultrasound-guided)
- Drainages: Paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainages, chest tube placement, cyst drainage
- Lumbar Punctures: Diagnostic lumbar puncture, myelogram
- Arthrograms: Knee, elbow, hip, ankle, shoulder joint injections
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
- Active Medical License: West Virginia (Ohio license noted; will confirm WV requirement before credentialing)
- DEA Registration: Required
- Experience: 2+ years post-residency experience preferred
