We are seeking a Board-Certified (BC) Diagnostic Radiologist for a long-term, 100% remote Locum Tenens position providing dedicated Emergency Department (ED) overnight coverage.
Assignment Details
- Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology
- Start Date: January 1, 2026
- End Date: June 1, 2026
- Coverage Type: Clinic Only (Remote Teleradiology)
- Call Requirement: No Call
- EMR: Cerner
- License: Active Michigan (MI) License required.
- Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 Days
Schedule & Commitment
- Shift: ED Overnight, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM EST (8-hour shift).
- Commitment: 2–3 weeks of coverage needed per month. Will consider candidates who can cover a minimum of 1 week per month (at least 7 shifts per month).
- Workload: Average number of ED cases per 8-hour shift is 80–120.
Scope of Work & Environment
- Coverage: Primarily interpreting Emergency Department studies.
- Resident Teaching: Resident teaching is required during the shift.
- Team: The provider will work with 2–3 residents overnight and only 1 attending radiologist (the locum).
Requirements & Logistics
- Certification: Board Certified (BC).
- Life Support: BLS is not required if working remotely.
- DEA: This position does not require a DEA, but will require a DEA waiver.
