Job description
LOCUM TENENS RADIOLOGIST: 6-MONTH ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE
Major Academic Health System | Central Connecticut Area
The Opportunity
Secure a reliable, 6-month locum assignment with all major overhead expenses covered under a single, predictable hourly rate. This role is about focused, high-throughput radiology without the logistical headaches of separate expense tracking and insurance procurement.
The Financials: Simple & Inclusive
The fixed, non-negotiable rate is $350.00/hour, which is inclusive of:
-
Malpractice Coverage
-
All Travel Expenses
-
All Lodging Expenses
-
This means the $350 is your complete operational budget and take-home rate. The benefit is simplicity and guaranteed coverage, not a premium hourly rate.
The Role
We're seeking an efficient General Radiologist to execute final reads for core diagnostic studies. This is a Mon-Fri, 40-hour week commitment.
-
Schedule: Full-time, Mon - Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. No nights, no weekends.
-
Duration: January 9, 2026 – July 2, 2026 (6 Months).
-
Volume/Pace: Expect a consistent workload of 6-10 RVUs/hour. Performance is tracked; sustained low output is unacceptable.
-
Scope: Final reads for Plain Film, Ultrasound, and CT Body Scans.
-
Crucial Plus: Proficiency in final reading MRI Body Scans is strongly preferred.
-
-
Location: Inpatient, onsite position in the Central Connecticut area.
-
System: Dictation via Powerscribe/Dragon. EMR is EPIC. PACS is Phillips.
Candidate Profile: Non-Negotiables
You must be licensed and ready to perform from day one.
-
Active Connecticut Medical License (IMLC with LOQ accepted).
-
ABR Certified.
-
Clean file—no history that complicates credentialing.
The Benefit: Administrative Freedom
-
Zero Overhead Worry: Your malpractice, travel, and housing logistics are handled and consolidated into the rate. Focus exclusively on reading studies, not paperwork.
-
Predictable Schedule: Consistent daytime hours (8a-5p) for work-life balance.
-
Academic Experience: Work within a major, well-established academic health system.
-
Defined Exit: A 6-month contract provides financial security without permanent institutional commitment.
ACTION REQUIRED: Apply only if you seek a consolidated, six-month contract where administrative burden is minimized, and you can consistently maintain the required.
