Radiology Locum job in Pittsburgh, PA

We are seeking a Board-Certified (BC) or Board-Eligible (BE) General Radiologist for an ongoing Locum Tenens position providing extensive teleradiology coverage, with an option for onsite work if located nearby.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Radiology (Diagnostic/Generalist)
• Start Date: February 16, 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Clinic Only (Tele-radiology primary, On-site optional)
• EMR: Cerner / Epic
• License: Active Pennsylvania (PA) License required.
• Credentialing Timeline: 90 Days

Schedule & Commitment

• Shifts: Up to 40 shifts per month available for tele-radiology.
• Shift Times (Mix): Coverage includes a mix of day and evening shifts on both weekdays and weekends.
  • Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Evening Shifts: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Priority: Primary need is for day coverage, but the locum must remain flexible with shift needs.

Scope of Work

• Skillset: Must have a strong Body/Generalist skillset.
• Case Mix: Coverage scope includes ED, Inpatient (IP), and Outpatient (OP) exams across all Radiology modalities.
• Coverage Locations: Primarily reading for one main hospital, but the provider will be cross-credentialed at multiple facilities within the system.
• Onsite Duties (If Applicable): If working on-site, there may be some oversight of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for procedures.

Requirements

• Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology at the time of hire.
• Diagnostic Radiology (XR,CT,MR,US,NucMed/PET)
• Must have body imaging (chest & abdominal) competency.
• Must function as a generalist, including ED and inpatient.
• Should be comfortable with basic neuro and MSK studies.
• Minimum RVU expectation: 50-55
