A healthcare organization in Northern California is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist with mammography and breast biopsy experience for a locum assignment. This role involves interpreting a variety of imaging modalities and performing breast biopsies in a supportive, outpatient environment.
Job Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic mammograms and breast biopsies per MQSA standards.
Maintain a high standard of accuracy and patient care.
Collaborate with technologists and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Utilize PACS (Merge) and voice recognition (Dragon) systems for reporting.
Qualifications
Active California Medical License – Required
Residency in Radiology – Required
BLS/ACLS and DEA certification – Required
Clean malpractice history – Highly Preferred
Ability to meet MQSA standards (960 mammography studies every 24 months).
Working Hours
Frequency: One week every other month (6–9 months total)
Call: None
Start Date: January (Credentialing 90–120 days)
Skills
Proficiency in mammography and breast biopsy procedures
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
Experience with Cerner EMR, Merge PACS, and Dragon dictation
