Diagnostic Radiology – Locum Tenens (On-Site Preferred)- Missouri/Kansas

Schedule: Daytime, Evenings, Nights & Weekends (mix of onsite + teleradiology)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage across a multi-site hospital system. Ideal candidates are comfortable with high-acuity diagnostic reads, including ED-style imaging and neuro-heavy CT/MR. On-site coverage is preferred for daytime hours, with teleradiology support available for evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Schedule & Coverage Details

• Normal Business Hours:

  • 0700–1700, on-site at a single location (preferred)

• Call Coverage:

  • Evenings and weekends; covers both hospital locations

• Teleradiology Coverage:

  • Utilized for overnights, evenings, and weekends

• Weekends: Required (mix of on-site and telerad as needed)

Workload & Environment

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based

• Avg. Daily Census: [Can be added if you’d like]

• Patient Population: Adults

• Trauma Level: Not high-volume trauma

• Support Staff:

  • 24% physicians, 5% APPs

  • Each site has radiology managers, technologists, and nursing support

• IR Environment: Dedicated IR suites with up-to-date technology

Modalities & Case Mix

• Primary Modalities: CT, MRI, PET, Ultrasound

• Typical Studies:

  • ED-style cases

  • High volume of CTs

  • Neuro heavy (CT/MR)

• Procedures: Diagnostic only (no interventional required unless candidate desires)

Technology & Systems

• EMR: EPIC

• PACS: Change Healthcare / McKesson

Qualifications

• Board Certification: Not required; BE acceptable within 2 years of residency

• License:

  • Willing to license

  • Preferred: Active or expedited ability to obtain MO & KS licensure

  • IMLC eligible candidates strongly preferred

• Certifications: None required

• Experience: Comfortable with broad diagnostic imaging and ER-style reads

Privileging Timeline

• Standard credentialing: 45–60 days

• Full privileges: ~90 days

• Temporary privileges available due to urgent need (typically requires at least 1 week after paperwork is submitted)
