We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist for a full-time locum opportunity at a trauma-designated medical center in Hudson, Florida. This position offers a balanced schedule with a strong focus on interventional procedures while maintaining some general diagnostic reading responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in a wide range of IR procedures and comfortable working in a collaborative, high-volume hospital environment.

Key Details

  • Location: Hudson, Florida
  • Facility Type: Trauma Center
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST
  • Coverage: 80% Interventional Radiology / 20% General Diagnostic Reads
  • Call: 7 major holidays (offsite)
  • Rate: $400/hour (stipends may be available for non-local providers; final rate may vary slightly based on travel support)
  • Start: As soon as credentialed (temporary privileges available for clean backgrounds)
  • Productivity Expectation: Minimum 45 RVUs per shift
  • Systems: RPCE Tech Stack & PowerScribe 4.0

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of interventional radiology procedures, including:
    • Angiography
    • Kyphoplasty and Vertebroplasty
    • Port and Catheter placements
    • CT-guided biopsies and drainages
    • Ablations
    • Ultrasound-guided paracentesis and thoracentesis
    • Uterine Fibroid Embolization
    • CT drain placements
    • Upper GI procedures
    • Central venous catheter tunneling
    • Vena cavagram
    • Abdominal aortic angiography
    • Chest tube placements
  • Provide general diagnostic readings (CT, MRI, and other modalities as needed)
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and referring physicians to ensure quality and continuity of care

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology preferred
  • Active Florida Medical License (or ability to obtain)
  • Clean background required for temporary privileges
  • Strong procedural competency and diagnostic experience

Working Hours

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST
  • Offsite call coverage for 7 major holidays annually
