Locums Radiologist – Long Beach, California (Weekend Onsite Coverage)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13+ weeks
Shifts Needed: Saturdays & Sundays, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (10-hour onsite shifts)
Coverage Type: Weekend schedule only, no call

About the Role
Seeking a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist to assist with weekend onsite coverage. The greatest need is for 10-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, with potential for some shorter shifts as well.
This is a high-volume environment, with average read volumes of:
- ~80 studies on weekdays
- 150–180 studies on weekends
- Must read all studies during the shift — no carryover to next provider
- Must be willing to work at least one weekend shift per month (more preferred)
- Prior to start, must be onsite for two weekday shifts for system setup and training
- Another radiologist is onsite on weekends from 8 AM – 1 PM for support
- EMR: EPIC
- Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology (Required)
- Active & Unrestricted California Medical License (Required)
- DEA (Required)
- BLS or ACLS (Required)
- 1+ year of Diagnostic Radiology experience
- Must be able to work onsite – this is not a remote role
- Not open to licensing – must already have CA license
- Facility Type: Hospital
- Setting: Inpatient
- Support Staff: Hospital-based radiology team
- Patient Population: Adults (18+) and Geriatrics
- Onsite only (Long Beach, CA) – weekend shifts
- Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 8 AM – 6 PM
- Must commit to at least 1 shift per month
- High-volume reads (150–180 on weekends)
- Must be available for 2 weekday setup/training days before first weekend
- EPIC experience highly preferred
- No licensing support – must already have a clean CA license
