Job description
A hospital in North Dakota is seeking ongoing locum Interventional Radiology coverage starting in 2026. This role requires proficiency in a broad range of IR procedures, with stroke capability preferred but not required. Coverage includes daytime shifts and 24-hour call, with full travel accommodations provided.
On Call (Daily) – $4000 - “Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis"
Call Back – $485– “Per hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms.”
Job Responsibilities
Perform vascular interventions, stenting, thrombolytic therapy, embolization, drainage, and biopsies
Cover 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM onsite, plus evening call 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage
Manage average of 10–15 procedures per onsite day
Respond to emergency call-backs as required
Qualifications
Active North Dakota license preferred; IMLC accepted
Residency and fellowship in Interventional Radiology – Required
ACLS and BLS certifications – Required
Clean malpractice history preferred
Must demonstrate recent experience with required procedures
Working Hours
Weekend coverage: 24-hour call shifts
Ongoing need throughout 2026
Skills
Proficiency in central lines, PICCs, port placement, IVC filters, drainages, biopsies, TIPS, ablations, and pain management procedures
Ability to perform a wide spectrum of general IR procedures independently
Strong emergency response and inpatient care skills
Epic EMR experience preferred
