Position: Remote Radiologist (Locum Tenens) Commitment: Up to 14 weeks/year Duration: 1β2 years Location: Remote (Workstation provided) Schedule: MondayβFriday, Daylight Hours
UPMC Washington is seeking 1β2 board-certified Radiologists to join our tele-radiology team and provide consistent coverage during vacation and holiday periods for our employed staff. This is a long-term locum opportunity with predictable hours, robust support, and a collaborative environment.
π©Ί Key Responsibilities

Interpret a mix of 50β70 exams per shift, including:
-
CT (50β55 exams/day) β outpatient, inpatient, and ER
-
General Radiology (X-Ray/Plain Films)
-
MRI and Ultrasound
-
~5 oncology studies/day included in CT volume
-
-
Read STAT ED cases (default urgency due to ED status)
-
No procedures required β remote reading only
-
Collaborate with 3 other radiologists available during shift hours
-
Communicate critical results directly to clinicians, with clerical support
π Daylight Rotations Available
Locum providers may choose between two structured schedules:
Option 1: 8:00 AM β 4:00 PM

30β35 CT exams (Outpatient/Inpatient only β no ER cases)

15 outpatient MRI exams

30β35 general X-ray exams
Option 2: 7:00 AM β 4:00 PM

CT-only schedule
-
CT volume includes outpatient, inpatient, and ER exams

8:00 AM β 1:00 PM: ED, IP, OP
-
1:00 PM β 4:00 PM: ED & IP only (no OP exams)

Includes ~5 oncology studies/day
