Job description
seeking a Locum Radiologist to provide coverage for both inpatient and outpatient radiology services. The role includes diagnostic interpretation, interventional procedures, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Job Responsibilities
Interpret and report findings from X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, nuclear medicine, and ultrasounds.
Perform interventional procedures such as fluoroscopy, myelograms, lumbar punctures, and swallow studies.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Recommend further diagnostic testing as needed and communicate results effectively with referring providers.
Qualifications
Active Iowa State License or Active IMLC – Required
Fellowship training in General Radiology with Mammography and Fluoroscopy – Required
Clean malpractice and background history – Required
Working Hours
Full-time coverage (20 shifts per month)
No weekends, no on-call requirements
Skills
Proficiency in Powerscribe/Cerner EMR systems
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Ability to manage a high patient volume efficiently
Commitment to high-quality patient care
