Job Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Diagnostic Services: Interpret a wide range of diagnostic studies, including mammography (screening & diagnostic), nuclear medicine, PET, plain films, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI.
• Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive General Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine services to VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) patients.
• Technology Use: Efficiently perform and interpret studies utilizing PACS and voice recognition systems.
• Productivity: Meet productivity benchmarks with timely interpretation of studies and report generation for all credentials.
• Timeliness: Ensure all studies and clinical notes are dictated and signed promptly.
• Communication: Engage directly with ordering providers on all critical findings to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Peer Review: Participate in peer review activities and attend clinical conferences as assigned by the Service Chief or designee.
• On-Call Duties: Equitably share night call and weekend back-up duties as needed.
• Education: Teach, supervise, and evaluate radiology residents and medical students from affiliated medical schools.
