Diagnostic Radiologist – Locum Tenens
Location: Kansas City, MO
Start Date: October 1, 2025 (August preferred)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (flexible, ongoing need)
Credentialing Timeframe:

• Full privileges: ~90 days

• Temporary privileges available in as little as 1 week (preferred lead time)

Schedule & Coverage

• Coverage Type: On-site + Remote

• Shifts: Days, evenings, nights, weekends

• Call: Evenings and weekends required

• Shift Example: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour flexible night shifts)

• Business Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (single site); call covers both sites

Requirements

• Board Certification: Not required if within 2 years of residency

• Licensure: Willing to license

• Certifications: Not specified

• Experience: Must be comfortable with a wide range of diagnostic and advanced procedures

Work Details

• Patient Population: Adults

• Practice Setting: Hospital + Outpatient Clinic

• Support Staff: 24% physician, 5% APP; full tech, nursing, and radiology manager support

• EMR: Epic

• PACS: Change / McKesson

• Reason for Need: Gaps in coverage and additional site expansion

• Trauma Level: Not a high-volume trauma setting

Procedures & Modalities

Includes but not limited to:

• Special Procedures: Biopsies, Arthrography, Image-guided drain placement, Liver biopsies, TIPS, Carotid stenting, Neurointervention, etc.

• Nuclear Medicine: Imaging, Therapy, Ventriculography

• Modalities: CT, MRI, Fluoro, Conscious sedation, Tomography, Film interpretation
