Provide contract Teleradiology consultation and interpretation of reads in support of the Beckley, WV VA Medical Center. Position is fully remote and considered resource and/or as needed.
Job Responsibilities
• Communicate emergent, urgent, or clinically significant test results within 30 minutes of discovery.
• Interpret images from commercial PACS or VA's VISTA RAD PACS system.
• Perform reads for the following:
o Plain Films
o CT Exams
o CTA Exams
o CT ABD & Pelvis Exams
o CT ABD Pelvis 1/>Regns
o CT Angio Abdominal Arteries
o Ultrasound Exams
o Ultrasound Head & Neck Thyroid
o US Arterial Duplex
o MRI Exams
o MRI Abdomen Exams
o Nuclear Medicine Exams
o MRI Prostate
o PET/CT
o MRI Cardiac—CPT Code 75557, 75559, 75561
Qualifications
• Licensure and certification. Must be board-certified with current, full and unrestricted license to practice Teleradiology in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Licensure in West Virginia preferred. BLS and/or ACLS, EHR, and NPI required.
• Experience. Technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements. Ability to demonstrate competency relating to job and specialty.
• English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Subject to background/security investigation.
• Must pass TB test.
• Complete an online onboarding process.
• Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must be a US citizen to apply for this job.
