JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Physician – Radiologist
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Charleston, SC
• Service Setting: Remote Reads – Academic Medical Center
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: 10/01/2025 – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p; occasional evening shifts 5p – 9p
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Weekends only (if needed)
• Call Type: TBD (Escalation to in-house attending from 5p – 7p)
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Patient Volume/Census: Pending confirmation
• Phone Consults: Possibly during evening shift
• Case Mix: Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Abdominal Body Imaging
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: TBD
• EMR System: PACS Sectra, Voice PowerScribe
• Office Equipment Available: MUSC-provided workstation and equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Yes (Academic Setting)
• Support Staff Available: Residents assisting 5p – 7p
• Reason for Coverage: Coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days

• CTA Cardiovascular Studies
• Chest/Thoracic Imaging (CT, X-rays)
• Abdominal Body Radiology
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active SC license required; cannot sit in AK, CA, CO, IL, NY, ND, OH, OR, WA, WY, HI, IN, LA, NJ, NM, WV
• Certifications: BC or Board Eligible within 5 years
• Experience: Fellowship in Thoracic or Cardiovascular Radiology required
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Sectra and PowerScribe
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interpret remote reads for cardiovascular and thoracic studies
• Conduct chest and abdominal CTs and X-rays
• Participate in daytime clinical shifts and occasional evening reads
• Coordinate with residents and escalate cases to attending as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using Sectra and PowerScribe systems
