Job description
We are seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist for a locum tenens assignment at an imaging center-based breast center in California. This role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with a strong onsite team and tech support, focusing exclusively on breast imaging.
Position Details:
📍 Setting: Imaging center-based breast center
🕗 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Case Mix (Average Daily):

Screening Mammograms: 41

Diagnostic Mammograms: 7

Breast MRIs: 2
-
Breast Ultrasounds: 5

Biopsies (stereo, US, MRI-guided): 1–2 total
Duties & Responsibilities:
✅ Interpret screening and diagnostic mammography
✅ Perform and interpret breast MRIs
✅ Perform stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided breast biopsies
✅ Collaborate with technologists and the onsite radiology team to ensure high-quality patient care
Technology:
💻 Powerscribe, EPIC, Hologic
Team Structure:
👩⚕️ 5 radiologists onsite with dedicated tech support
🚫 No teleradiology for breast imaging
Patient Demographic:
Primarily adult women (35+) with breast imaging needs
Qualifications
✅ Active California medical license – Required
✅ Breast Imaging Fellowship – Highly Preferred
✅ BLS Certification – Preferred
