Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Faculty Opportunities in Kansas City
Kansas City, MO | Full-Time | Academic Appointment with UMKC
Overview:
Seeking BC/BE diagnostic radiologists and interventional radiologists to join our collaborative, inclusive, and subspecialized radiology practice. Faculty positions offer a balanced combination of clinical excellence, academic engagement, and research potential in a collegial environment with access to advanced imaging technologies.
Opportunities Available:
Diagnostic Radiology:
- 80% subspecialty-specific imaging (e.g., transplant, GI, GU, GYN-oncology, CT colonography, HSG, sono-hysterography)
- 20% general nuclear medicine and oncologic PET/CT
- No mammography or neuroradiology required
- Daytime weekend call; no evening or overnight responsibilities
Interventional Radiology (100% IR roles):
- Full spectrum of vascular and nonvascular interventions
- Dedicated IR clinic time
- Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and embedded multispecialty clinics
- Supported by IR APPs, nurse navigators, and a dedicated team of nurses and technologists
Technology & Resources:
State-of-the-art Siemens imaging equipment
Fully integrated Epic EMR
Dedicated IR facilities and comprehensive support infrastructure
Academic Role:
Faculty appointment with the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC)
Teaching responsibilities with residents and fellows
Research opportunities supported, though not required
