Registered Radiologist Assistant for Growing Tampa, FL Practice!

Envision Physician Services is currently seeking a Certified Registered Radiology Assistant for our AdventHealth Tampa practice. Join this collegial team and assist in branching out this new role. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Requirements:

• Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Master’s degree in accredited RA or RPA Program, and four to five years of Radiologic Technologist experience.
• Maintains BLS/CPR, and ACLS certifications.
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience

Scope of the opportunity include:

• Perform follow-up patient evaluation, and post-procedure care, and communicate findings to the radiologist.
• Performs fluoroscopic examinations and procedures including contrast media administration and operation of fluoroscopic unit under the direction of the supervising radiologist.
• Operates a fixed/mobile fluoroscopic unit. Assures documentation of fluoroscopy time. Evaluates images for completeness and diagnostic quality, and recommend additional images as required (general radiography, CT and MR).
• At least two years of experience in diagnostic radiology (scribing plain films for review with the interpreting radiologist).
• Perform consultations
• Write patient admission and/or discharge summary
• Care of the patient prior to, during and following the radiological procedures, wound management, diet intervention, insertion and removal of arterial, venous, and/or PICC lines, management of drainage tubes, emergency intervention per ACLS protocols; and for treatments, laboratory tests and diagnostic tests that are required by the Interventional Radiologist
• Administer contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the radiologist.
• Administer general medications as prescribed by the radiologist in conformance with organizational policy.
• Evaluate images for completeness and diagnostic quality, and recommend additional images as required.
• Perform procedures depending on the patient’s condition and adherence to established protocol.
