PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Patient Demographics: Adults
  • Patient Volume/Census: Evening call averages 01 call backs per shift; weekend call averages 34 interventions
  • Admissions: Yes
  • Phone Consults: Included as part of call coverage
  • Case Mix: High-acuity interventional radiology including trauma and vascular cases

  • Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped interventional radiology suites
  • Specialty Backup Available: Multispecialty acute care services
  • Support Staff Available: Radiology technologists, nursing staff, and clinical support
  • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage for spring staffing needs

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active Idaho license or IMLC eligibility in hand
  • Board: Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Radiology
  • DEA: As required for interventional radiology practice
  • Certifications: As required by facility credentialing
  • Experience: Acute care interventional radiology with trauma exposure
  • Other Qualifications: Ability to manage high-acuity call coverage

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform interventional radiology procedures in an acute care setting
  • Provide in-house weekday coverage and evening/weekend call support
  • Respond to call backs for urgent and emergent interventions
  • Collaborate with trauma, surgical, and medical teams
  • Document procedures and encounters accurately in the medical record
