Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Radiologist for a high-volume hospital-based practice with some remote work flexibility. This role supports a transitioning group model and offers the opportunity for extension beyond the initial assignment. The radiologist will work across a broad patient population in a busy Level I Trauma center, supported by a full clinical and technical staff.

Assignment Length: 3–6 months, with potential to extend

Reason for Coverage: Group model transitioning to employed

Schedule:

Monday–Friday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Weekday evening call: Until 8:00 pm

Weekend call: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days
Job Details & Responsibilities
-
Provide Nuclear Medicine radiology services in a hospital-based setting with some remote coverage
-
Interpret a high volume of cases (exact volume TBD by subspecialty)

Work within a Level I Trauma Center serving neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Utilize EPIC EMR, PowerScribe, and PACS for documentation and reporting
-
Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
-
Maintain quality, safety, and patient-centered care standards
-
Practice supported by a full complement of support staff

Participate in hybrid onsite/remote workflow models
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR) – Required

Fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine – Highly Preferred

Active Connecticut medical license or IMLC eligibility at time of submission – Required

Valid medical license (or eligibility) for Saint Francis and Johnson Memorial Hospital – Required

DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification, or eligibility – Required
-
BLS certification (ACLS required/optional depending on subspecialty) – Required

Proficiency with PACS, PowerScribe, and modern radiology IT platforms
-
Experience with image-guided procedures (biopsies, aspirations, localizations)

Ability to work effectively in high-volume, integrated health systems

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care

Prior experience with hybrid onsite/remote workflows

Self-Query NPDB pulled within one month of presentation – Required
