Busy Nuclear Medicine service in Hartford, CT is seeking a locum physician for a 3–6 month assignment starting March 21, 2026, with the option to extend as needs require. This role supports hospital-based imaging with scheduled weekday coverage and evening/weekend call responsibilities.

Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics (rare pediatrics)

EMR/Systems: EPIC, PowerScribe, PACS
Candidate Requirements
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR) – REQUIRED
-
Valid Connecticut medical license (or eligibility) – REQUIRED
-
DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification (or eligibility) – REQUIRED
-
BLS – REQUIRED | ACLS optional based on subspecialty

Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days) – REQUIRED at presentation

Fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine – Highly Preferred

Proficiency with PACS, PowerScribe, and modern radiology IT platforms

Experience in high-volume, integrated health system environments

Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Comfortable with hybrid onsite/remote workflows

Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care
Schedule & Coverage
-
Start Date: March 21, 2026 (12:00 AM)

Assignment Length: 3–6 months, extension possible

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Evening call: Monday–Friday until 8:00 PM

Weekend call: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days (with completed applications)
