Job Summary:
Well-established group of 70 radiologists located in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a board certified or board eligible Interventional Radiologist to serve the community for Johnston-Willis Hospital.The incumbent physician will be joining a group of 8 IRs servicing multiple moderate-and small-sized hospitals in the central Virginia region, including Level 1 and Level 2 trauma centers, as well as their office-based lab.
About the Practice:
As a progressive clinical IR practice, they perform the full gamut of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to peripheral arterial and venous interventions, interventional oncology, dialysis access management including pioneering work in the development of percutaneous arteriovenous fistula creating, uterine fibroid embolization, kyphoplasty, hepatobiliary interventions, and general body IR procedures.
Qualified Candidates:
- Fellowship training in interventional radiology
- Must be board eligible or board certified in their specialty
- Board eligible candidates still in training must be scheduled for their boards
- Must be energetic and motivated
- Candidates that could be program builder/leader are encouraged to apply
- Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, physicians and administration
- 2 plus years’ experience preferred
- Join a busy and established private practice
- IR call only, with no diagnostic call shifts, although reading off the diagnostic list between cases during the weekdays is expected.
