We have an ongoing need at one of our practices in Northern California. We are seeking an Interventional Radiologist for 1 week a month ongoing. Here are a few details. Please let me know if you have any interest.

Setting: Inpatient Call only

Start Date: ASAP-- one week per month to fill in as needed

Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days

Patients per day: average is 10-12 pts per day

Call: Call is a week at a time, Monday to Monday (MAY be flexible)

3-5 calls per 24 hour period

SKILL REQUIREMNETS

Board certification required: BC or BE

Procedures:

  • Imaging guided procedures, parasentesis, thorasentesis (general interventional procedures)

Procedures:

  • Cancer
  • Chronic pelvic pain
  • PAD
  • renovascular
  • UFE
  • varicose veins
  • venous disease & filters
  • vertebroplasty

  1. TIPS
  2. Catheter placements and exchanges (tunneled and non-tunneled catheters)
  3. Drain placements including nephrostomy and biliary tubes
  4. Biopsies (Liver, Lung, Kidney, lymph nodes, etc)
  5. Arterial interventions such as gastrointestinal and splenic embolizations and peripheral angioplasty, atherectomy, and stenting
  6. Dialysis interventions (catheter placements, declot, fistulograms)
  7. IVC filter placements and removals
  8. Kyphoplasty
  9. Paracentesis and thoracentesis
  10. Gastrostomy tube placements and exchanges
  11. Venous interventions such as DVT/PE thrombolysis
