Interventional Radiologist – Syracuse, NY
Long term contractor opportunity
Sygnetics, Inc. is seeking Board-Certified Interventional Radiologists to provide onsite and on-call services at the Syracuse VA Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. This position supports Veterans through comprehensive interventional radiology care in a federal healthcare setting.
Schedule
Onsite coverage is generally Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. On-call coverage may include weekday evenings, weekends, and federal holidays.
What You’ll Do
Provide comprehensive Interventional Radiology services, including angiography, angioplasty/stent placement, biopsies, embolization, dialysis access procedures, drain and tube placement/exchanges, IVC filters, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, gastrostomy placement, vertebroplasty, and related procedures.
You will also consult, perform pre-procedure planning, communicate with referring providers, provide post-procedure follow-up, document care, and participate in required quality and patient- review safety activities. Moderate sedation privileges are required.
Must-Haves
· MD or DO
· Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology
· Current, full and unrestricted New York State medical license
· Current DEA registration
· Current NPI
· Ability to successfully complete VA credentialing and privileging
· Current ACLS/BLS as required
· Moderate sedation privileges
· Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Recent Interventional Radiology experience in a hospital or medical center setting
· Experience with a broad range of IR procedures
· Prior VA, military, or federal healthcare experience
· Familiarity with VA electronic medical record systems
