Specialty: Physician - Radiology - Interventional
Location: Grass Valley, CA
Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Position Details: Coverage needed October 5–9 and November 30–December 4
Patient Population: ED volume of 85–90 patients per day; average inpatient/observation census of approximately 50 patients
Setting: General Acute Care Hospital
Responsibilities: Hospital coverage including IR needs, Stroke CTs, acute care imaging, ED and ICU imaging studies, and potential outpatient coverage for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies
Required Procedures: Lumbar punctures, barium studies, centesis exams with drains, CT/US biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, thyroid and lung biopsies, drain placement, aspirations, and other basic IR procedures
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology Nurses and Techs; Sacramento Radiology group for overflow and after-hours reads
Days Per Month: 10 coverage days
On-Call/Weekends: Weekend requirements apply
- Active California License and CA Fluoroscopy required at submission
- Residency required
- BLS and DEA required during credentialing; availability required at time of name clear
