Locum Interventional Radiology Physician

Position Type: Locum
Specialty: Physician - Radiology - Interventional
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM; Weeknight Call 4:00 PM–8:00 AM; Weekend/Holiday Call 8:00 AM–8:00 AM

Position Details:
Setting: Hospital
Responsibilities: Provide interventional radiology services, including inpatient and emergent care, image-guided procedures, post-procedure follow-up, pre- and postoperative management of endovascular patients, and call coverage. Diagnostic radiology reading is not required.
Required Procedures: Angiography/arteriography, catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic vascular procedures, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, thrombectomy, thrombolytic therapy, chest tube placement, image-guided biopsy/drainage, nephrostomy, ureteral stenting, biliary interventions, gastrostomy/gastrojejunostomy, tumor ablation, central venous access, TIPS, uterine artery embolization, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, and other listed IR procedures.
EMR System: Merge, Powerscribe 360, Dragon
Support Staff: Yes
Days Per Month: Monday–Friday, 5 days/week
On-Call/Weekends: Yes – Weeknight call 4:00 PM–8:00 AM; weekend/holiday 24-hour call 8:00 AM–8:00 AM

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
  • Tennessee License or IMLC; DEA
  • BLS and ACLS
  • Available to start in September and provide ongoing coverage through the end of the year
