We are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join a well-established hospital-based IR team providing a broad range of vascular and non-vascular procedures in a high-acuity setting.
This opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday day schedule, strong APP support, shared 1:3 call coverage, and an average of 8 cases per day. Ideal candidates will be comfortable performing angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, thrombolysis, biopsies, and UFE procedures while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Practice Setting: Hospital-Based
Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Call Schedule
- Q3 weekday call (every third weekday)
- Q3 weekend call (every third weekend)
- Call ratio: 1:3 among Interventional Radiologists
Clinical Volume
- Average of 8 cases per day
- Primarily adult patient population, including a significant geriatric population
- Level I Trauma Center environment
Procedures Required
The ideal candidate must be comfortable performing a broad range of Interventional Radiology procedures, including:
- Angioplasty
- Stent placement
- Embolization
- Needle biopsy
- Thrombolysis
- Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
Preferred Experience
Additional experience with the following is highly desirable:
- Orthopedic interventions
- Gynecologic procedures
- Urologic procedures
Team & Support
The Interventional Radiology department includes:
- 3 Interventional Radiologists
- 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Dedicated department manager and support staff
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
- Active Michigan Medical License (required at presentation)
- IMLC/Compact licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- NPDB Self-Query dated within the last 30 days
Highly Preferred
- Clean malpractice history
- Clean licensure history
Provider Preference
- Local providers are preferred due to mileage-only reimbursement.
- Travel providers may be considered if they can provide at least two to three weeks of coverage per month.
