A Level I Trauma Center in Hartford, is seeking multiple Locum Interventional Radiologists for a 3–6 month assignment beginning March 21, 2026 (12:00 AM), with potential for extension based on ongoing needs.

This opportunity arises as the current group model transitions to an employed structure. Providers will work in a very busy department within a hospital-based and hybrid onsite/remote workflow model.

Not accepting providers who cannot meet CT licensure requirements at submission.

Job Responsibilities

Assignment Details
Dates of Coverage:
• March 21, 2026 start
• 3–6 months, with extension possible
Schedule:
• Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• 24-hour call coverage required
• Nights and weekends onsite
Practice Setting:
• Hospital-based with some remote reading
Volume:
• Very busy department
• Cases per day: TBD depending on subspecialty
Trauma Designation:
• Level I Trauma Center
Documentation Systems:
• EPIC
• PowerScribe
• PACS
Support Staff:
• Full complement of clinical and technical staff
Patient Demographics:
• Neonates
• Adolescents
• Adults
• Geriatrics
• Rare pediatric cases
Credentialing Timeframe:
• 90–120 days (with completed application)

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR)
• Active Connecticut medical license or IMLC at time of submission
• DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification (or eligibility)
• Current BLS certification (ACLS optional depending on subspecialty)
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days at time of presentation)
• Ability to perform fluoroscopies (must confirm at submission)
• Proficiency with PACS, PowerScribe, and modern radiology IT platforms
• Experience with US and stereotactic guided biopsies, aspirations, localizations

Skills

• Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
• Experience in high-volume integrated health systems
• Prior hybrid onsite/remote workflow experience
• Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills
