StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting a Founding Program Director — Diagnostic Radiology Residency for a top-tier national radiology practice at a major academic medical center in Indianapolis, IN. This is a rare greenfield opportunity to build a brand-new, ACGME-accredited residency program from the ground up — shaping curriculum, recruiting the inaugural class, and establishing the program’s culture and identity from day one.

The program has already achieved Continued ACGME Accreditation (since 2023) and has assembled a strong core faculty across multiple radiology subspecialties. What it needs now is the right leader to bring it to life.

Practice Highlights/Qualifications:
• Build from scratch: Design curriculum, establish rotations, develop evaluation frameworks, and create the program’s identity before the first residents arrive in Fall 2027
• Recruit the inaugural class: Lead resident recruitment beginning Fall 2026, participate in the Match process, and select the first cohort of 2 residents
• Lead an established faculty team: Coordinate and develop 7 core faculty members across interventional, musculoskeletal, breast, abdominal, neuroradiology, nuclear, and cardiothoracic imaging
• Maintain ACGME compliance: Oversee accreditation requirements, milestone tracking, resident evaluation, and program reporting
• Practice clinically: Read across your subspecialty of choice for 148 shifts/year within a high-volume, multi-subspecialty radiology department
• Program size: 2 residents per year, 8 residents at full capacity

Requirements:
• MD or DO with board certification in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of documented educational and/or administrative experience in graduate medical education
• Demonstrated competence in teaching, mentoring, and program administration
• Current or recent clinical activity in radiology
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Indiana
• Fellowship training in any radiology subspecialty (preferred)
• Experience building or significantly expanding a residency or fellowship program (preferred)
• ACGME site visit experience or accreditation committee participation (preferred)
