Coverage Needed
- Start Date: February 23, 2026
- End Date: Ongoing
- Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Clinical Details
- Setting: General Acute Care Hospital (Stroke Certified, no Trauma Level designation)
- Duties: Hospital coverage including IR needs, Stroke CTs, and other procedures
- Potential outpatient coverage for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and Breast biopsies
- Required Procedures: Lumbar punctures, barium studies, various centesis exams with drains, CT/US biopsies preferred
- IR Procedures: Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy Tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, Chest Tubes, Suprapubic Catheters; Biopsies (Thyroid, Lung, Other)
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) Nurses and Techs; Large Radiology group available for overflow and after-hours reads
- Admissions per day: 12-15
- Patients/day: ED Daily Volume is 85-90 patients/day
- Average Daily Inpatient/Obs Census is ~50 patients (includes ICU and OB)
- Types of cases: Surgical, Medical, ICU, and OB
- Studies and Procedures per day: ~50 studies/day + 4-6 procedures/day
- Breakdown of Daily Work: CTs: 12-15, X-rays: 15-20, Ultrasounds: 8-12, IR Procedures: 4-6 (predominantly non-complex IR)
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- CA State License
- Residency/Fellowship
- BLS and DEA
- CA Fluoroscopy
- Clean Malpractice preferred
- Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days)
