We are seeking an Interventional Radiologist to provide locum tenens coverage during the spring months. This opportunity offers a structured weekday schedule with defined call expectations and a broad procedural mix.
Coverage Dates
March 16 – March 22
March 30 – April 5
April 27 – May 3
Ongoing needs through April and May
Schedule
Clinic/Procedure Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Evening Call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Expected callbacks: 0–1 per shift
Daily rate inclusive of evening call
Weekend Call: 24-hour call
Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
Typical volume: 3–4 interventions per weekend
Interventions generally last 1–3 hours
Call Volume Expectations
Evening call: 2–3 callbacks per weeknight
Weekend call: 3–4 total interventions per weekend
Required Skills & Procedures
Candidates must be comfortable performing the following:
History and Physical examinations
Image-guided procedures using:
Fluoroscopy
Ultrasound
Nuclear Medicine
CT and MRI
Diagnostic angiography
Trauma embolization (body)
Pulmonary thrombectomy
Gastric tube placement
Biliary and cholecystostomy tube placement
Nephrostomy and ureteral stenting
Dialysis graft and fistula stenting
Body arteriography
IVC filter placement and removal
This is a high-acuity IR role ideal for providers seeking defined coverage dates, procedural variety, and predictable scheduling.
