Job at a glance
Job description
A large, 100% physician-owned radiology group in Michigan (175+ radiologists, 60+ sites statewide) seeking an onsite Interventional Radiologist for coverage in central and/or northern Michigan. This can be part-time or full-time, with a start as soon as credentialed. We will get you licensed! IMLC preferred.
Practice & Sites
- Two community hospitals (both University of Michigan–affiliated)
- Central MI teaching hospital (~100 beds) and a northern MI hospital on Lake Huron (~140 beds)
- Sites are ~3 hours apart; typical coverage is one site Mon–Wed and the other Thu–Fri, but schedules can be adjusted based on location and travel preferences
Clinical Mix (flexible based on skill set)
Northern location coverage includes:
- IR procedures: drains, LPs, GI fluoro, paras/thoras, CT & US-guided biopsies
- Breast imaging: screening/diagnostic + stereo & US biopsies
Central MI location coverage includes:
- Heavy breast imaging: screening/diagnostics, stereo & US biopsies, pre-op localizations
- Additional procedures: thyroid, lymph node, soft tissue biopsies, CT lung & solid organ biopsies, abscess drainage, PICCs
- Occasional arthrograms, HSGs, and joint injections
Historically, one physician covered both breast imaging and IR, but the group is open to physicians who focus on breast only or IR only, as well as those who do both (MQSA welcomed).
Requirements
- ABR or AOBR certified
- Experience in full range of IR procedures, breast procedures is a plus!
- Michigan or IMLC license
- Strong references and clean malpractice history
If this aligns with what you’re considering, I’d be glad to share full details and talk through schedule and coverage options that fit your preferences.
