Overview
Busy Interventional Radiology department in Hartford, CT is seeking a locum IR physician for a 3–6 month assignment starting March 21, 2026, with the option to extend as needs require. This is a high-volume hospital-based role with onsite night and weekend call coverage.

Candidate Requirements
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR) – REQUIRED
-
Valid Connecticut medical license (or eligibility) – REQUIRED
-
DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification (or eligibility) – REQUIRED
-
BLS – REQUIRED | ACLS – REQUIRED
-
Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days) – REQUIRED at presentation

Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology – Highly Preferred

Proficiency with:

PACS and PowerScribe
-
Current radiology IT platforms

Image-guided procedures
-

Ability to perform fluoroscopies (must be noted at submission)

Experience in high-volume, integrated health system environments

Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Comfortable with hybrid onsite/remote workflows

Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care
Schedule & Coverage

Start Date: March 21, 2026 (12:00 AM)

Assignment Length: 3–6 months, extension possible

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

24-hour call coverage required

Nights and weekends onsite
