Job description
Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center is seeking an Interventional Radiologist for an in-house, procedure-focused locum tenens assignment. This is a weekday-only role with no call responsibilities, offering a predictable schedule and steady procedural volume in a supportive hospital environment.
This opportunity is well-suited for interventional radiologists looking for consistent daytime coverage, hands-on procedural work, and a straightforward scope of practice without overnight or weekend obligations.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct fluoroscopy-guided procedures, including:
Arthrograms
Lumbar punctures
Manage an average of 7–10 patient cases per day
Collaborate with onsite nursing staff to ensure efficient patient flow and procedural care
Document procedures and findings in the MediTech EMR
Adhere to facility protocols and quality standards
Qualifications
Completion of Interventional Radiology fellowship
Active Kentucky medical license or IMLC
ACLS and BLS certification required
Ability to work on-site only (no teleradiology)
Clean professional background
Working Hours
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Some overtime may be available
No night call
No weekend coverage
Skills
Strong procedural efficiency in a scheduled clinical environment
Comfortable working independently with onsite RN support
Clear communication with clinical and administrative teams
Adaptability to moderate daily procedural volume
