Join us as an Interventional Radiologist at the Brooklyn, NY VA Medical Center located in Brooklyn, NY. *1099 and W-2 options available, inquire for more details.

Period of Performance: 1 base year 2/1/2026-1/31/2027 w/ four 1-year renewal options for a total of 5 years through 1/31/3031.

Job Responsibilities

• Providing Interventional Radiology procedures including but not limited to:
o Angiography
o Cryoblation
o Balloon angioplasty/stent placement
o Line insertion
o Chemoembolization
o IVC filters
o Cholecystostomy
o Kychoplasty
o Gastronomy
o Thrombolysis
o Biopsy
o Dialysis access & related interventions
o TIPS placement
o Radiofrequency ablation/microwave ablation
o Biliary intervention
• Communicating test results to providers and patients.
• Providing consultation and discharge education.
• Prescribing medications.

Qualifications

• Education. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.
• Board Certification. All contractor’s physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology (http://www.theabr.org/).
• Licensure and certification. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BLS or ACLS, DEA and NPI required.
• Experience. Must be capable of demonstrating technical proficiency.
• English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Subject to background/security investigation.
• Must pass TB test.
• Complete an online onboarding process.
• Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Working Hours

Full-time, 8A-4:30P Mon-Fri. Weekend call rotation between 4:30P Fri through 8A Mon. PRN/as needed schedule also available.
