Interventional Radiologist – Kansas City Metro Area
Start Date: ASAP | Duration: Ongoing
We have two openings for Interventional Radiologists in KS and MO providing diagnostic and interventional radiology coverage across multiple sites. This role offers weekday onsite coverage with evening and weekend call, supported by a collaborative imaging and procedural team.
Key Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00a–5:00p with evening and weekend call
- Setting: Hospital-based, dedicated IR suites with modern equipment

Sites: Daytime onsite at one location; call coverage at nearby facilities

Support Staff: 24% physicians, 5% APPs, plus techs, nurses, and radiology managers

Patient Population: Adults

Reason for Need: Gaps in coverage across multiple sites
Modalities & Systems:

Modalities: CT, MR, PET, and Ultrasound

EMR: Epic | PACS: Change/McKesson
Procedures & Specialties:

Diagnostic & Light IR Procedures:
Angiography, catheter placement, image-guided biopsies and drainages, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, joint injections/arthrograms, central line placement, and ultrasound-guided procedures (FNA, core biopsy). -
Advanced procedures may include vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, and TIPS (as credentialed).

Supervision: Not required to supervise other providers
Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 2 years of residency)

Active or IMLC-eligible medical license (MO and KS preferred)

Temporary privileges available (typically 1 week minimum; full privileges ~90 days)
