Overview
Outstanding Locum opportunity for a Board-Certified/Eligible Interventional Radiologist to provide services under a VA – Veteran Government Care program in New York. The position involves high-acuity cases in a hospital-based setting with comprehensive procedural exposure and 24/7 departmental coverage.
Practice Highlights

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Call Coverage: 24/7 rotational call coverage

Setting: On-site, hospital-based Interventional Radiology

Scope of Care Includes:
• Angiography
• Balloon angioplasty & stent placement
• Chemoembolization
• Cryoablation
• Line insertions
• IVC filters
• Cholecystostomy
• Kyphoplasty
• Nephrostomy placement
• Embolization
• Gastrostomy
• Dialysis access procedures
• Thrombolysis
• Biopsy
• TIPS placement
• Radiofrequency & Microwave Ablation
• Y-90 Radioembolization for liver and metastatic disease
Physicians will also participate in:
• Pre- and post-procedure consultations
• Case reviews and care planning
• Follow-up evaluations
• Quality improvement and departmental meetings
Candidate Requirements

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology – Required

Active, full, and unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state) – Required
-
Must maintain up-to-date CME and ABR certification requirements

Clean malpractice and background preferred
-
Prior VA or government experience a plus
Schedule & Coverage
-
Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday with on-call rotation

Mix of procedural and administrative responsibilities (approx. 18% admin time)

Department provides 24/7 emergency IR coverage
