Job description
A locum tenens Interventional Radiologist is needed to provide in-person coverage for scheduled day and night shifts at a hospital in Springfield, OH. The position includes weekday shifts, weekend requirements, and on-call coverage, with a focus on general IR procedures, strong biopsy, and cancer-related interventions.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide in-person coverage during day and night shifts as scheduled.
• Respond to hospital-based consults and support emergency radiological needs.
• Collaborate with a fully staffed radiology group in a high-volume setting.
• Accurately document procedures and patient interactions using Epic and PACS systems.
Qualifications
• Active Ohio Medical License – Required
• BLS and ACLS certifications – Required
• Clean background with no malpractice or disciplinary history – Required
• Fellowship in Nuclear or Mammography – Preferred
• Proximity to Ohio – Preferred
Working Hours
Includes weeknight and weekend on-call responsibilities
Specific coverage dates include both day and night shifts
Skills
• Strong technical skills in biopsy and vascular access
• Experience working with Epic and PACS documentation systems
• Ability to work independently and handle high-volume caseloads
• Effective communication and team collaboration within hospital settings
