Job description
Radiologist – Hospital & Interventional Procedures
A hospital seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiologist to provide acute care imaging coverage including interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
Schedule:

Day shifts, roughly 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Potential for rare night call after hours

Coverage needed on select dates from September through December
Responsibilities:
-
Hospital imaging coverage including stroke CTs, ED, ICU, and inpatient studies

Interventional Radiology procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, abscess drainage, chest tubes, and biopsies (thyroid, lung, others)

Outpatient building coverage for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies (optional)

Average daily volume: ~70 studies plus 5-8 procedures

Modalities: CT, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, and IR procedures

EMR system: Cerner
-
Support from radiology nurses, techs, and a large radiology group for overflow and after-hours reads
Ideal Candidate:
-
Skilled in acute care imaging and IR procedures
-
Comfortable managing stroke imaging and emergency/ICU studies
-
BLS and DEA certification required
-
Clean malpractice preferred
-
Must have fluoroscopy certification at submission
