The Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa invites applications for an open rank non-tenure clinical or tenure track Body Imaging faculty position within Department of Radiology. This is an outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained Radiologist to join a growing Body Imaging Division.

The Department of Radiology is known for its strong faculty and infrastructure in clinical radiology and research. In addition, the Body Imaging Section covers adult body imaging, performing GI and GU fluoroscopy and contrast studies, CT, CTA, CT colonography, ultrasound, MRI and MRA, and body interventional procedures. The PET/MR and collaborations with outstanding PET group is another avenue for cutting-edge body imaging and oncologic research.

Advanced state-of-the-art equipment includes two Siemens 16-Slice Sensations CT scanners (one devoted entirely to research), a Siemens 64-slice scanner, three Toshiba Aquilions, four 1.5 Tesla MRI scanners (including a GECVII MRI scanner), a Siemens 3T MR, seven Siemens ultrasound machines, two new, state-of-the-art Siemens GI fluoroscopy suites, and two recently-installed angiographic suites.

Qualified applicants must be ABR certified or ABR eligible.

Rank and academic track will be commensurate with candidate experience and credentials.

Qualifications:
Prior to the start of employment, qualified candidates must:

  • Have a medical doctorate or equivalent

  • Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Iowa

  • Be Board certified or eligible in Radiology

  • Have completed fellowship training in abdominal or body imaging
