Join a leading hospital-based inpatient facility as a Locum Tenens Cardiothoracic Surgeon specializing in cardiac surgery. Engage in complex surgical procedures and provide comprehensive patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This opportunity offers the potential for a six-month assignment with possibilities to extend further.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Call Schedule: Nights and weekends, approximately 7-8 calls per month
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
  • Location: Hartford, CT

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including but not limited to CABG, heart valve repair/replacement, and thoracic aortic aneurysm repair.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care to adult and geriatric patients.
  • Collaborate closely with a full complement of ancillary staff.
  • Document patient information using EPIC EMR system.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • BLS and ACLS Certification
  • Active Connecticut medical license required
  • Local provider preferred for mileage reimbursement

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Nights and weekends call, approximately 7-8 calls per month
