• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:45a – 5:00p
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Intermittent weeknight call (Mon–Thu); Weekend call one weekend per month
• Call Type: Beeper
• Call Ratio: Distributed equitably across surgeons

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Rate: Fixed (Daily; OT after 10 hours; Weekly OT after 168 hours)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases
• Pre-operative and postoperative rounding
• Emergent weekend surgical cases as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active FL license required
• Board: BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• DEA: Active DEA Certification
• Certifications: BLS/ACLS as applicable
• Experience: Cardiothoracic surgery experience required
• Other Qualifications: Ability to collaborate with APPs; telehealth not required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases
• Conduct pre-operative and postoperative rounding with APP support
• Cosign APP-created progress notes and consult notes; add surgeon notes as needed
• Provide weekend rounding (approximately one weekend per month)
• Cover emergent weekend OR cases and respond to new consults
• Participate in night call rotation (Mon–Thu) as assigned
• Respond to ER, CVICU, and PA-initiated calls when escalated
